Labyrinth Pointed Pen Calligraphy Drills

These printable worksheets were designed for anyone who has a foundational knowledge of pointed pen calligraphy. TPK's "labyrinth" drills sheet encourages you to make intricate patterns that enhance your pen control, consistency, and fluidity.

Worksheet comes in two versions: basic and premium
The 1-page basic worksheet has empty outlines for you to fill with your own loops and swirls
The 1-page premium worksheet has traceable guidelines, complete with start dots and instructional arrows when necessary
For best results, print on a quality paper such as 32# HP Premium Laserjet (affiliate link), and fill out the drills with a thin ink such as iron gall and a flexible nib like the Brause EF66

No matter which worksheet version you choose, the labyrinth layout offers a unique and engaging way to develop muscle memory while maintaining focus and precision.

Improve your pointed pen skills
Become more confident with calligraphy flourishing
Be inspired to think outside of the alphabet box (remember: the pointed pen isn’t just for writing pretty words and letters)
Learn how to make five eye-catching pointed pen birds, which you can use for future projects like greeting cards, mail art, and sketchbook pages

Here is a list of recommended supplies to fill out this worksheet set:

Oblique pen or straight pen — whichever you prefer (I like the oblique)
Your favorite calligraphy nib (I use the Brause EF66)
Iron gall ink; sumi ink will work, too
32# HP Premium laserjet paper to print out the worksheet
