Here are quick instructions for using a silhouette:

1. Cut a piece of pointed pen-friendly paper to the same size as the silhouette, or an alternative size if noted
2. Use a light box or a bright window to trace around the silhouette in pencil.
3. Densely fill in the silhouette by writing the same quote over and over in calligraphy/hand-lettering.
4. Once the ink has dried, erase any pencil guidelines. If the silhouette isn’t recognizable from a distance, add dots, strokes, and flourishes to fill in the area more densely.

2. It's fun to cut and collage the roses on cards, mail art, gift tags, etc. (For example, I used them to make this sympathy card, this birthday card, and this envelope art.)
